I decree that September shall be all about female vocalists! After all, Queen Tori Amos has a new album coming out on the 8th. She's an artist you either adore or hate so, as not to overwhelm, I've only featured her twice in the playlist.
Along with Tori, I've included several other classics that have been inspiring me for these 20+ years since forming my own musical tastes including: Fiona Apple, Bjork, Natalie Merchant, Neko Case, The Cranberries, Garbage, The Cardigans, Imogen Heap, Poe, St Vincent, Florence + The Machine, and Sinead O'Connor. I've also thrown in some relatively newer stuffs from: Big Thief, Karen Elson, Daughter, Wolf Alice, and Alexandra Savior. And because I'm obsessed (and sort of as a joke!) I managed to include Thom Yorke as he is featured on PJ Harvey's track. Mmmmhaha!
Yeah, Girl Power!
Hey, guess what? I'll be announcing the date for Pocket Bible soon and also releasing another single! September is bringing exciting stuff (hopefully) so stay tuned!
