This is the third track on the album. It's about the end of a relationship--that last awful time you see someone before you leave them forever... after you've made an irreparable decision.

There are two different 'he' characters at play. The verses are about leaving an old love, while the chorus is actually from a conversation I had with my favourite professor about moving forward in my life. At the time, I didn't feel completely hopeful and comfortable about the whole 'moving forward' bit, so the song speaks to the sort of bittersweet anxiety of letting go.

Are You Cold

Precarious shelves

Of cascading poetry -

I am moving

To New York.

Are you cold? he asked me.

And how do you feel about it?

I really don't know.

I'm hoping it will feel more like home.

He climbed my stairs

For the very last time.

He approached me,

And I backed away.

Are you cold? he asked me.

And how do you feel about it?

I really don't know

I'm hoping it will feel more like home.

Goodbye.

Goodbye.

His coat was wet with rain.

It fell to the floor.

Silent tears down my cheeks.

He followed them with his lips.

Are you cold? he asked me.

And how do you feel about it?

I really don't know

I'm hoping it will feel more like home.

Goodbye.

Goodbye.
